The Problem: OEM VIN Locking

When a critical component like the Body Control Module (BCM) suffers water damage, independent mechanics historically faced an insurmountable hurdle. OEM software protocols (Pathfinder) actively interrogate the VIN embedded in the module's silicon and block programming of a used, VIN-locked module into a different chassis. This forced shops to buy new, unprogrammed modules from the dealership, destroying repair profitability.

The Solution: Offline Security Authentication Bypass

JET Master destroys this OEM blockade through its offline Security Authentication Bypass mechanism. The software interrogates the Engine Control Module (ECM) and Transmission Control Module (TCM) to determine the true, original VIN of the chassis, then forcefully overwrites the donor VIN inside the used module. Step-by-Step: Used BCM Adoption

  1. Extract As-Built Data Connect JET Master to the vehicle with the damaged original BCM. If the module can communicate, extract the CCF and save it. If the BCM is entirely dead, use the software to download the original As-Built configuration file based solely on the vehicle's VIN.
  2. Physical Substitution Disconnect the primary negative battery terminal and perform the physical swap of the BCM hardware. The salvaged BCM must share the exact same hardware part number iteration as the original — software cannot overcome physical pinout incompatibilities.
  3. Power Stabilization & Network Assessment Reconnect the battery, attach the 80A regulated power supply (steady 13.5V), and connect the Enet VCI.   1. Forced Interface Connection Connect the VCI to the OBD-II port. Because the vehicle is in an active alarm state, the gateway will naturally reject standard UDS diagnostic requests. Even if a cloned key successfully starts the vehicle, advanced convenience features like Keyless Go and Keyless Entry usually will not function. For full system compatibility and guaranteed reliability, always use genuine Jaguar Land Rover keys.
USA Single-Key Exception: If you own a USA-market vehicle that came from the factory with only one key (triggering a "Less than 1-key" diagnostic code), you can safely add a spare key directly without replacing or virginizing the KVM module. This is a known JLR factory configuration exception.

Can I test the connection before making a purchase?
Yes. Once you paste your download key into the software installer, navigate to Tab 3 and click "Find Car" or review your "Network Adapter" status. This allows you to safely validate the active communication link between your ENET cable and the vehicle's network before activating any demo or official license.
Which JLR vehicles are supported by JET Master?
JET Master supports all Jaguar and Land Rover DOIP vehicles manufactured between 2017 and 2026. This includes Defender (L663), Range Rover (L405/L460), Range Rover Sport (L494/L461), Velar (L560), Evoque (L538/L551), Discovery (L462/L550), F-PACE (X761), E-PACE (X540), I-PACE (X590), F-TYPE (X152), XE (X760), XF (X260), and XJ (X351). For 2026 models with encrypted gateways, initial TOPIx cloud access is required.
Can I program a used control module and change the donor VIN?
Yes. JET Master can program used control modules and overwrite the donor VIN via OBD2 using the Security Authentication Bypass. For some deeply locked modules (certain KVMs or older BCMs), you may need to use a specialized chip programmer (SX-SPC5, M-ONE, or VVDI) to write virgin EEPROM data before OBD2 adoption. Contact our support team for module-specific guidance.
Can I add a spare key without replacing the KVM?
In most cases, no. If your KVM's microcontroller is One-Time Programmable (OTP) and locked, you must solder a brand new chip (SPC560B60L3) and write virgin EEPROM data using the SX-SPC5 programmer. However, USA-market vehicles that came from the factory with only one key (triggering a "Less than 1-key" DTC) can safely add a spare key directly without replacing or virginizing the KVM.
Can I work on multiple cars with one license?
Yes — with an official JET Master or JET Pro annual license, you have unrestricted access to work on an unlimited number of vehicles (multiple VINs). The software is hardware-locked to one specific laptop. If you are using a Demo license, access is strictly limited to a single vehicle (1-VIN) and expires after 72 hours (Master) or the purchased duration (Pro).
Is a power supply required?
Yes, a stable power supply is strictly required. For lengthy programming jobs like IMC, PIVI, or map updates, your vehicle consumes significant energy. If the battery voltage drops below 12V, the car will automatically "fall asleep," causing critical modules like the BCM and Gateway to instantly lose communication. To prevent severe electrical damage or bricked modules, you must connect a stable power supply that maintains a constant 13.5V–14V during the entire coding and programming process.
Is modifying my vehicle with JET Master safe?
